Talent Demand Working Group

We believe timely, accurate information is critical to catalyze alignment between every stakeholder group operating within our region's talent system. Access to this information helps to ensure the skills being taught in K-12 and Postsecondary education match those expected to be in demand by the region's employers, and that there are enough workers in the region with these skills to meet anticipated demand.

In September 2019, the Talent Demand Working Group published the 6th Edition of the West Michigan Talent Assessment and Outlook. This report, as well as a data supplement, can be found in the Publications section of this website.

As a result of the pandemic and growing need for timely, high-quality labor market information, we opted to transition our annual talent demand report into a quarterly format to keep stakeholders apprised of trends as they emerge. View the latest information by accessing our Quarterly Labor Market Reports.
